Wondering what you should do over this long week-end? Get in your car, rent a car or even get on the train and come to beautiful Connecticut!
Our foliage colors are upon us, the leaves have started turning and we still have lots of greens and flowering shrubs. Some of the colors are brilliant. It’s also apple-picking season, replete with hay rides to the orchards and pumpkin patches, where you can pick your own apples of different varieties as well as pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Apple cider is plentiful as are the delicious cider donuts plus other apple treats.
Stock up on your spooky gear for Halloween or enjoy getting through a corn maze. Or, just relax and enjoy the scenery. Western Connecticut is practically part of the Hudson Valley, which is just across the state border.
This can all be done as a day trip and the kids will sleep soundly that night after a day of excitement, discovery and fun. And by kids I mean those of all ages – fun and fresh air for everyone!
